Nest

Natural Interactive Installation in collaboration with Megan Craddock at DEMO Project February 2016

created for the Indian Summer Festival at Lincoln Memorial Gardens October 2016

The artwork was inspired by the oak tree containing lush leaves on the sides contrasted by dead branches in the center. The structure relies heavily on the elements of repetition, contrast, and texture. It is through these elements that we draw attention to the diverse intricacies of nature. In our artwork as in nature, each element works together to create the whole. The details and beauty can be discovered even in decaying materials. Viewers are invited to follow the meandering path and enter the nest.
